Seattle had to be feeling pretty good last night going into their game against Texas with Felix Hernandez on the mound vs. a pennant contender. That was quickly washed away as the Rangers battered Hernandez into a 12-4 laugher. They now head into a meaningless game vs. a team long out of contention, and not only can't be feeling good about themselves, but are also in a letdown spot. Houston has been more competitive recently at 7-8 than they have on the season, so they certainly haven't thrown in the towel. The Mariners are on a slide, having lost six straight, and are just 1-7 in their last eight in the role of a favorite. Houston has taken four of their last five series openers, and I like the dog in this fight. Go with Houston.
