I can't trust Seattle so far from home, a team that is 4-7 on the road with one of the worst offenses in baseball (No. 23 in runs, No. 29 in batting average, No. 27 in on-base percentage and No. 26 in slugging). Yet, they are a road favorite here. The Mariners are 2-7 in their last nine games as a favorite and 4-9 against a team with a winning percentage below .400. Houston has home field and a good arm going in Bud Norris (2-2), who has fanned 14 in 19 innings while allowing 19 hits - and the Mariners have never seen him. Houston has a better offense, No. 17 in runs scored, and No. 13 in slugging. Norris has a 3.18 ERA at home and last season he was 4-1 with a 1.71 ERA in 73 innings at home. The Astros are 5-0 in Norris' last five home starts vs. a team with a losing record. The Mariners are 2-7 in the last nine meetings, so grab the home dog and play the Astros.
