Seattle at Detroit

Seattle is making a move in the AL West as the Mariners have hit the .500 mark by winning seven of 10, including 9-2 over the Tigers on Friday when Julio Rodriguez banged out three hits, including a two-run homer and a two-run single. Detroit has shown signs of life recently, but the Tigers still are weak offensively and they average only 3.6 runs per game this season. Bryce Miller will make his third start and the Mariners won the first two as he has allowed just one run on four hits in 12 innings for a 0.75 ERA and 0.42 WHIP with 15 strikeouts. Alex Faedo made his first appearance of the year on Sunday and gave up three runs in 4 2/3 innings for the Tigers, who lost 12-6 to St. Louis.
