Most were ready to hand the weak AL Central title over to the Tigers when the season began, but the White Sox have had something to say about that as they lead the division by 2.5 games. They have won four straight games, and the addition of Jose Quintana to the rotation has made them stronger. Quintana is 5-2 with a stellar 2.76 ERA in his rookie season. Blake Beaven may be 8-7 for the Mariners, but his ERA is far below average at 5, which rises to 5.49 on the road. He has been much less effective out of rotation when pitching on five days of rest where the Mariners are just 2-7. Seattle has been a colossal struggle when facing a winning team on the road where they are now 47-100 in their last 147 games. The White Sox are pounding right-hand pitching to the tune of a 22-7 mark in their last 29, and get a very hittable one tonight. Play on the White Sox.
