The San Francisco Giants started the season at 42-21, and then they went into a nose dive, but got things back together late in the season. This is a team that seems to save their best baseball for the post-season, as they have now won nine straight post-season games. The most amazing part of the winning streak is they have gotten their best pitching at the most crucial time. The Giants pitching in the nine game post-season winning streak has allowed a grand total of nine runs, or one run per contest. Washington finished with the best record in the National League, but it did not serve them well in game one, even with Stephen Strasburg on the mound. I think this line is way over done as San Francisco is playing loose and with tremendous confidence right now. The Giants have been a Goliath when posted as an underdog in the post-season, where they own an 18-5 record in their last 23. The Nats can't seem to get over the top and are 1-4 in their last five postseason games. Make the play on San Francisco in this one.
