The Giants have played their best baseball of the season of late as they have now won 11 of their last 14. They may have found something in the process. Kevin Correia has been a steady fixture in the pen, and pitched to an ERA in the 3's each of the past two seasons. The Giants, out of necessity, have used him as a starter, and he has performed great. He has worked 10 innings in two starts, yielding just 2 earned runs and last outing they stretched him out to 5.3 innings. The Nationals have really cooled off, and have now dropped six straight games. They will hand the ball to Tim Redding, who only lasted 4 innings in his last start against Colorado, where he was pounded for 5 runs. Redding has had location issues of late, as he has now walked 11 in his last 17 innings of work, and served up two long balls in his last outing. Have to like the way the Giants have been playing of late, and hard to ride a Nats team that has returned to their losing ways after a nice run.
