San Francisco at Washington

Washington has won two straight following its 3-2 victory over Miami on Thursday when Brian Goodwin hit a go-ahead homer in the eighth. The Nationals have a 15-game lead in the NL East while the Giants are dead last and 36 games out in the NL West and 19-38 on the road. Edwin Jackson goes tonight and he has split four decisions since coming over to the Nationals. Washington has won the last four meetings dating to last season, including a three-game sweep in May when San Francisco scored a total of only four runs. The Nationals have won 15 of their last 21 against NL West teams and five of their last six home contests against the Giants. Chris Stratton has a 6.63 ERA and is making just his third start. Opponents have a .292 batting average against the right-hander this season. The Giants come off a win on Wednesday, but they are just 26-53 their last 79 games after a win and 11-27 their last 38 road games against right-handed starters. Play the Nationals.
