The Giants are off to a 3-0 start when Tim Lincecum takes the hill. Lincecum has a very good 2.25 ERA, and has already fanned 22 in 16 innings. This is yet another "under the radar" pitcher that produces a high volume of quality starts. Joel Piniero started the season on the DL with a stiff shoulder and was blasted by the Giants in his only start, giving up six runs and failing to get out of the fourth inning. He appears to be way behind, as to be expected, and may take his lumps early in the season. Piniero is now with his third team in three years, and his role has wavered back and forth from starter to reliever. Like the Giants here with a decided pitching edge.
