San Diego is fading fast and probably could use a managerial change after being a huge disappointment this season with its high-priced team. The Padres are only one game over .500, having lost five in a row, and the pitching has faltered. Yu Darvish gave up eight runs in four innings when he last faced San Francisco on Sept. 13 and he has a ERA close to 7.00 since the beginning of July. The Giants have won Logan Webb's last eight starts and he is 10-3 with a 2.79 ERA on the season. Webb allowed three runs in six innings in his only appearance against the Padres this year. The Giants are 23-6 their past 29 games as road favorites and 41-15 their past 56 road games overall. They need to keep winning to hold off the Dodgers. Take the Giants.
