San Francisco at San Diego

The San Francisco Giants will not be around to defend their World Series title, but for that matter, the San Diego Padres have to be disappointed with their season as well. San Diego brought in a lot of free agents in hopes of building a contending team, but they fell far short of expectations. A house cleaning is in order so motivation down the stretch certainly has to be questioned. Andrew Cashner was supposed to be a top-of-the-rotation starter for San Diego, but at 6-15 and an ERA well over 4, he has certainly disappointed. The Giants were all over him less than two weeks ago in a 9-1 win, as he allowed 5 runs nine hits, walked five and didn't get through the fifth inning. I don't see this one much differently, so make the play on San Francisco.
