The Giants started hot at 42-21 on the season, but struggled the rest of the way at just 46-53. They head cross-country here to face Edinson Volquez who posted a 13-7 mark this season with a 3.04 ERA. In his last three starts, Volquez put up a 0.43 ERA, allowing just one earned run in 21 innings pitched. The Giants counter with Madison Bumgarner who has pitched exceptional this season as well.
