San Francisco at Philadelphia

The San Francisco Giants' offense has been called into question over the last month or so. They then took a blow when Matt Cain landed on the DL, weakening their rotation. That means Yusmeiro Petit will get the ball tonight, and he has worked out of the pen in 21 of his 26 appearances this season, so he is not likely to get deep into this game. The Phillies have hit him hard as hs career ERA against them is a sky-rocketing 7.71. Roberto Hernandez has pitched much better of late for Philadelphia as he has allowed 2 runs or fewer in three of his last four starts. The Giants have lost four straight times behind Petit when they scored 5+ runs in their previous game. Philly owns four wins in their last five vs. the NL West, and has the edge here.
