San Francisco at Oakland

The San Francisco Giants have had a much better year than most expected, but it has everything to do with the two pitchers Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum. The Giants are a combined 19-9 when they start and 9-5 on the road. Take those numbers away from this Giant team and they are just 19-23 overall and the key number just 5-15 on the road. Randy Johnson will be 46 before the season ends and his 5.00 ERA is testiment that age has caught up to him. His once unhittable fastball has now served up 13 HR's already this season, well on his way to topping the 24 he allowed in '08 in just 184 innings. The Giants are now just 12-30 in their last 42 on the road vs teams with a winning home record, while the A's have pounded interleague lefties at home to a 20-6 record in their last 26. The A's are also an amazing 81-33 as an interleague favorite and 8-1 in their last nine as a home favorite. I'm riding the A's here.
