Oakland will try to make it two in a row over the Giants after its 2-1 win on Saturday when Seth Brown hit a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth for the eventual winning run. Luis Medina has pitched much better than his record indicates recently as he has allowed only eight runs in 27 innings his past five starts, including two runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings against Colorado last Sunday. Medina has done better at home where he owns a 4.06 ERA and .230 opponent batting average compared to 6.63 and .277 on the road and July was easily his best month this season. Alex Cobb has a 1.46 ERA at home and 4.63 in road games with a .302 opponent batting average. San Francisco is 58-71 following a loss the past two years. There is huge line value with Oakland in this matchup and take the Athletics.
