A terrible situational spot for the defending champs, long since out of it and 3,000 miles from home playing an Interleague game. The Giants are batting .206 and have been outscored 11-1 in this series. The Giants are 5-14 in interleague games this season. While the Giants have nothing to play for, the Yankees are still in the Wild Card race and focused on a postseason push. New York lefty Andy Pettitte goes here, and the Giants are 7-19 in their last 26 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30. Pettitte has actually been throwing well of late, losing his last start, but it was his first defeat since Aug. 5th, and he is 3-0 with a 3.38 ERA in his last six home outings. The Yankees are 10-2 in their last 12 home games vs. a right-handed starter, and 16-5 in their last 21 home games.  The Yankees are also 14-4 in Pettitte's last 18 interleague starts.
