San Francisco at New York

The San Francisco Giants are in an unenviable spot. They won't be around to defend their World Series triumph from a year ago, and now have to travel cross country to take on another team out of contention. I can hardly envision this team coming to play. The Mets' starter, Zack Wheeler, has plenty of incentive as he already beat his former team. That win lead to a Mets sweep earlier this season, and at 7-5 with a 3.22 ERA he has pitched very well overall. The Giants' motivation has been depleted, and it has shown on the road when they face a losing team where they are just 2-10 in their last 12. The Mets have also taken five straight in this series. Go with the Mets.
