New York needs to get on a winning streak after falling seven games behind in the Wild-Card race, and the Mets will try to build on their 7-2 victory over the Dodgers on Sunday that ended a seven-game West Coast swing. San Francisco is trying to hold off the Dodgers, who have climbed to within 2 1/2 games in the NL West, and the Mets are 13-3 their past 16 games following an off day as they have won five of six home games after a trip of at least seven days. Tyler Megill was the starter when the Mets beat San Francisco on Wednesday as he allowed one run on five hits in six innings. Megill has a 2.45 ERA in six home games this season.
