The Dodgers’ Huroki Kuroda has drawn the short straw multiple times this season. There are years where this just seems to happen to pitchers, and it certainly has been the case with Kuroda this season. Kuroda is 12-16 despite carrying an above average 3.19 ERA into this contest with the Giants. The Giants have gotten the better of him in the last two years going 2-1 while Kuroda has pitched below his average ERA, at 4.12. Madison Bumgarter has a comparable 3.21 ERA on the season and has been in the groove of late allowing just 4 runs in his last 34.2 innings of work. The Giants are a hot team, winners of 9 of their last 10 games, and seven straight as a favorite. The Dodgers have had no success of late as a home dog at 0-5 in their last five. I like San Francisco in this one.
