San Francsco continued its second-half collapse with another loss yesterday against St. Louis. Tonight they face Clayton Kershaw, and the Giants have lost seven of their last eight games against left-handed starters to go with six of their last seven road games versus southpaws. Kershaw had a good outing in his second start since coming off the disabled list with five shutout innings against the Yankees while allowing just one hit in a 2-0 Dodgers victory. The Dodgers have won eight of the last 10 meetings at home, and the Giants have lost Bumgarner's last five starts against Los Angeles. Bumgarner lost 3-1 to San Diego on Wednesday when he gave up three runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings. His September ERA is 4.34, and the Dodgers are 47-27 at home.
