Tim Cain has been a hard luck pitcher the last few years, despite maintaining one of the best ERA's in either league during the period. If a player could sue his team for lack of support Cain would sure have a winnable case. The Giants have scored one run or less in 29 of his last 66 starts. He has excellent stuff and he needs just a few runs to win, and that kind of support has a way of balancing out. Clayton Kershaw has a very positive upside, but his demise has been his lack of command as he issued 52 free passes last year in just 107 innings. He opened by issuing four in five innings this season. Just the opportunity and help the Giants need to push across a couple of runs. I'll back the Giants in this one.
