San Francisco at Kansas City

This year's World Series has turned out to be an exciting one. Both teams have exchanged blows, but in the end the result has been a 3-3 deadlock with everything on the line for this game. I think the Giants hold a couple of aces for this one. First, they have been here before with World Championships in 2010 and 2012. Second, and this is perhaps the big one, they will have Madison Bumgarner available as he has had two days rest, and this would be his normal throwing day anyway, and the Giants could likely get 2-3 innings out of him if necessary. While the Royals' pen gets talked about so much, quietly the Giants bullpen of Affeldt, Casilla, and Lopez have worked a combined 20.1 innings in the postseason to a 0.00 ERA. When you consider that in Tim Hudson's three postseason appearances he has allowed just 1 run through the first three innings, this is unlike a regular game when you have all hands on deck, and the Giants have the last six innings covered if he gets into the slightest hint of trouble. I think the situation, considering the full roster, experience, gives the Giants the value here. Take the Giants to claim this season's World Series crown.
