Young Buchholz had given up just 6 runs in over 27 innings worth of work till' his last start against the Dodgers when he was lit up for a total of 8 earned runs. I beleive the kid will have a solid performance today behind the support of his home crowd as the Astros face the struggling Giants. The Giants are 0-4 in their last four road games while the Astros are 5-1 of late against teams with losing records. Oftentimes when a pitcher gets shelled, he comes back to have a solid performance and I beleive it will no different here for Buchholz. While no Oswalt or Pettite, Buchholz has game and I don't see two terrible performances in a row. San Francisco is reeling defensively having given up 27 runs in their last five games. And finally, Houston is 20-4 at home after allowing 4 runs or less 4 straight games over the last 3 seasons. Stros here.
