San Francisco at Detroit

The Tigers have played more winning teams at home with 32 games against them than any other team in baseball. Despite the rugged schedule they still reign supreme in the AL Central. Barry Zito, a one time ace across the bay in Oakland, has never lived up to the billing in San Francisco. Now in his fifth year, Zito has never pitched to an ERA of under 4 in the NL. Zito's woeful performance on the mound comes with a dismal outlook for the Giants when he pitches in an anticipated low-scoring game - one with the total set from 7-8.5. The Giants are just 1-9 in Zito's last 10 starts with a total in this range. The Tigers are a robust and profitable 16-5 with Scherzer taking the hill as home chalk. Play Detroit in this one.
