San Francisco at Arizona

The Arizona Diamondbacks look to put the finishing touches on San Francisco tonight, as with a win they clinch the NL West. Then they can utilize the last five games to get their rotation in order for the playoffs. Arizona has by far been the biggest surprise in baseball this year, turning a disappointing 2010 season that saw them finish with 97 losses and a distant 27 games out of the NL West race, would like nothing more to put the Giants’ season to rest. The D-Backs have won the last three starts by Joe Saunders where he has allowed just a total of 5 runs. The Giants have trouble in series openers where they are 4-14 in their last 18, while the D-backs are wrecking right-hand pitching, to the tune of 22-8 in their last 30. Play on Arizona in this one.
