San Diego at Washington

The Washington Nationals at 20-28 is a bad team that has made some improvements to start the 2023 season. This is still a team that has allowed 4.66 runs per game thus far, which won't lead to a winning record. The Padres have a boatload of talent but are a disappointing 22-26 on the season. The Padres finally have a look at a team that is ready to break out. They went 10 straight games without topping four total runs, but they have now won two straight and scored seven runs in each game, while the pitching has recorded a pair of shutouts in their last seven games. I like San Diego in this one.
