Adam Wainwright has pitched very well this season, but his overall record is just 18-13. John Garland is right there at 17-13 with a 3.39 ERA. The Padres have found some offense recently, having scored 6+ runs in four of their last six games. They are averaging 5.1 runs per game over that span. In September's games, teams with a winning record as an underdog have produced an over .500 record. Wainwright is just 4-9 this season when facing a winning team. I like the Padres chances in this game.
