San Diego at San Francisco

First place San Francisco is a cheap home price against a bad San Diego squad. The Giants are 11th in baseball in runs scored, fifth in batting average and eighth in on-base percentage.  The Giants are 23-8 in their last 31 overall and go with 27-year-old right-hander Yusmeiro Petit. He has gone 7-7 with a 3.46 ERA and 153 strikeouts as a starter for Triple-A Fresno this season. The Giants are 8-1 in their last bibe games as an underdog and 7-0 in their last seven home games. Another lost season winds down for the Padres, who are 1-4 in their last five contests. It's also the end of a six-game road trip, losing the first two games here in San Francisco 5-1 and 8-4. San Diego is awful on offense,  23rd in runs scored and 26th in slugging. They are getting too much respect with this betting number because Eric Stults is on the hill, but he's been smacked around by the Giants in his career (4.81 ERA), including twice this season with a 5.63 ERA against San Fran.  The Padres are 19-39 in their last 58 road games vs. a team with a winning record and 1-4 in their last five road games. And when these teams meet head to head the Padres are 7-21 in the last 28 meetings, including 1-6 in the last seven meetings in San Francisco. Play the Giants.
