The Padres got homers from Manny Machado, Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis, Jr., and Gary Sanchez, while Yu Darvish pitched six innings for the win. Blake Snell will start Game 1 of this double header and he has pitched much better than his 6-7 record indicates as he has a 2.85 ERA and he has allowed only five earned runs his past nine appearances, while giving the Padres six or seven solid innings and they have won four of his past five starts.
