San Diego at New York

New York got a 3-2 win on Saturday as D.J. LaMahieu hit an RBI double and a homer and Isiah Kiner-Falefa had a walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning and the Yankees inproved to 18-13 at home and climbed within seven games of first-place Tampa Bay in the AL East. Gerrit Cole goes today for the Yankees and he has yet to lose a decision with a 5-0 record and 2.53 ERA although his team bailed him out of his last start when he allowed five runs and New York won it in 10 innings against Baltimore. Cole has been especially tough at Yankee Stadium where he has given up just 10 runs in 43 innings with a .185 opponent batting average and New York's bullpen continues to be one of the best in the majors with 15 saves and a 1.22 WHIP. The Padres have lost eight of 10 versus opponents with winning records and 0-5 against starters with a WHIP of less than 1.15. Take the Yankees.
