New York got some clutch hits from star players to win 7-3 on Saturday, forcing Game 3. The Mets will look to close out the series tonight with Chris Bassitt on the mound. The right-hander is 15-9 with a 3.42 ERA and 1.14 WHIP overall and a 2.95 ERA at home this season and Bassitt is 8-2 since the beginning of August. Joe Musgrove has made one appearance against the Mets this year and was touched for four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings. New York is 55-28 at home and 35-16 overall in its past 51 games with a posted total of 6.5 or lower and San Diego is 17-39 in the same situation.
