The Mets cruised to an easy 11-2 rout of the Padres in the opener, so expectations begin to grow. Things could likely turn in a hurry here, as Clayton Richard found himself late last season. He has also pitched very well vs. the Mets where he owns a 2.84 ERA in over 31 innings against them. Matt Harvey had a very solid rookie season, but his worst outing was against the Padres who lit him up for 8 hits and 5 runs in August. This role has been embraced by Richard who has led the Padres to a 6-1 mark in his last seven as a dog. The Mets' lineup has been full of holes vs. left-hand pitching at just 3-12 in their last 15 when facing one. Play on San Diego.
