The Milwaukee Brewers were not expected to be a factor in the NL Central this year and they are not. While the Padres posted a surprisingly great season in 2010, they have gotten off to a rocky start. The Brewers’ offense has gone into the deep freeze, and is largely responsible for a 2-8 slide over their last 10 games. The sleepy Brewers’ bats have mustered just 16 runs in the 10 games, at 1.6 per contest. The Padres have capable pitching, and looking at a team scoring under 2 runs per game for close to two weeks as a sizeable chalk, shows value on the short side of the line, so I'll back San Diego.
