Milwaukee hasn't been impressive in the roll of favorite, 3-3 the last six times as chalk, including a 5-2 loss yesterday to these Padres as -150 favorite. They have a losing record at home and Yovani Gallardo has not had a good season at 4-5 with a 4.50 ERA. The Brewers are 1-5 in Gallardo's last six starts as a favorite. He's 2-2 with a 4.94 ERA against San Diego, a team that has already beaten him once in 2012. This is a good hitter's park and the Padres pounded out 13 hits in yesterday's win as Huston Street pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his fifth save. San Diego has an underrated starter in Anthony Bass, who has fanned 61 in 68 innings with only 26 walks, plus has allowed fewer hits than innings pitched. And the struggling Brewers have never faced him. Play the Padres.
