Los Angeles has won four in a row and San Diego has lost four straight and the Padres have scored a total of only 10 runs in the four losses, including a 4-2 defeat on Saturday when J.D. Martinez hit a three-run homer in the first inning to launch the Dodgers to another victory. Tony Gonsolin had his longest stint of the season on Monday when he went six innings and gave up three runs on three hits against Milwaukee. Gonsolin faced the Padres twice in 2022 and allowed just one run on seven hits in 12 2/3 innings for a 0.71 ERA. The Dodgers are 14-6 at home this season and they have won 100 of their past 136 home games and they are 43-16 at home versus left-handed starters.
