This game is a mismatch, but from both sides. The Dodgers certainly stack-up better than the Padres player for player, but when you look at the starters, Kershaw does not stack up against Jake Peavy. Peavy hasn't gotten it going yet, but he is too good a pitcher to stay down long. On any given night, Peavey has the capability of throwing a nine- inning shutout. Kershaw has been awful thus far for the Dodgers. Kershaw has now allowed 17 runs in his last two starts and has failed to get out of the fifth inning in both of them. That doesn't bode well for the Dodgers with a pitcher that has the potential of Peavy. I'll go with the Padres here.
