The Dodgers found a way to battle through key injuries to sit atop the NL West at the break. They get both Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier back for this game and should make quick work of a Padres team that that is in a very tough spot here. The Padres are 17-26 on the road and 9-20 vs. left-handed pitchers. Clayton Kershaw (a southpaw) owns a 2.91 ERA and that spells trouble for the Padres who average just 3.5 runs per game. When facing winning teams, San Diego is just 9-24 this season. They are 10-30 dating back to last season when facing a pitcher with an ERA of 3.0 or better. Clayton Richard has done a decent job for San Diego this season, but he doesn't get much run support. And, in night games, Richard is just 6-19 dating back to last season. Take the Dodgers here.
