Los Angeles suffered a rare home loss on Friday night, but the Dodgers still are 37-10 at Dodgers Stadium and have a 14 1/2-game lead in the NL West. The Dodgers have won seven of the last nine meetings, and the Padres have scored a total of seven runs the last four meetings. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for San Diego, which has lost four of Chris Paddack's last five starts. Paddack got off to a hot start this season, but has cooled off recently and he has a 3.89 road ERA compared to 2.36 at Petco Park. The Dodgers are 45-13 versus right-handed starters at home and 37-14 overall against righty starters. Los Angeles has won six of Kenta Maeda's last seven home starts.
