These teams made a blockbuster trade back in December, so there will be a lot of players wearing the opposite uniform this season when Los Angeles hosts San Diego. It certainly seems automatic that Clayton Kerswaw who went 18-1 in his last 19 starts, has won Cy Young awards in consecutive seasons, would be the easy choice here. That has not exactly been the case early in the season. As good as he has been, prior to game 29 on the season, the Dodgers are just 18-13 with a negative 6.3% ROI. They turn positive for the rest of the season after that point, so early is the time to get him. The odds here are tainted by the public backing, and the history shows San Diego to have a much better chance here than it looks, especially behind Shields. Make the play on San Diego.
