San Diego at Kansas City

San Diego won big last night 13-5 over the Royals as Ha-Seong Kim hit an RBI single in the sixth inning, a two-run double in the seventh and a two-run homer in the ninth for the Padres, who improved to 34-30 on the road. Meanwhile, Kansas City is trying to stay out of last place in another miserable season and it has lost eight of its last 11 and will have to face Yu Darvish tonight. The right-hander is 10-7, but has pitched better than his record indicates as he has a respectable 3.39 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. The due factor is in Darvish's favor as he has pitched well his last three starts with nothing to show for it. Daniel Lynch goes for the Royals and he is 4-8 with a 4.58 ERA overall and 1-3 and 5.28 at home. The Royals have lost eight of 11 interleague games and they are 22-45 overall versus teams with winning records. Take the Padres.
