San Diego at Houston

The San Diego Padres surprised everyone last season on their way to 90 wins. The problem was that they folded down the stretch after leading most of the season. They finished 14-23, and are off on a losing note again this season. That losing performance still lingers in the minds of the oddsmakers, but I think they are getting way more respect here on the road as a solid chalk. The Padres are 0-6 in Latos’ last six starts and overall the Padres are 8-20 vs. a home team with a home winning percentage under .400. Figueroa has stopped the bleeding for the Astros, leading them to a 6-2 mark following a loss in his last eight in this situation. I’m playing Houston in this spot.
