Detroit looks to salvage a game from this series and get a few good innings from Alex Faedo before turning it over to the bullpen, which has been the Tigers' strongest department this season. Detroit relievers are tied for #9 in the majors with a 1.26 WHIP. The Tigers still have won five of their past nine and San Diego is 23-38 on the road and three games under .500 on the season as it struggles to stay in the playoff race. Detroit was hampered by a rain delay on Saturday and A.J. Hinch decided to use Matt Manning for only two innings before taking him out and then Mason Englert was bombarded and allowed nine runs in 2 1/3 innings. Four other relievers pitched no more than 1 2/3 innings each. Detroit is getting great line value at home and play the Tigers as a Max Play
