Colorado snapped a four-game skid with a 2-0 win over Oakland on Sunday as Ryan McMahon had an RBI double and an RBI single and the Athletics were held to five hits. Austin Gomber comes off a fine performance allowing one run on six hits in six innings against Washington on Tuesday and the Rockies have won four of his past six starts. July has been by far Gomber's best month of 2023 as he has a 3.00 ERA while giving up eight earned runs in 24 innings. The Padres go on the road where they are just 23-29 this season. Seth Lugo is 4-5 with a 3.62 ERA overall and 3.38 with a .253 opponent batting average on the road. San Diego is 0-7 this season after winning three consecutive games this year.
