The Boston Red Sox have played better than any team in MLB since their poor start, but tonight they turn to Andrew Miller to take the mound against San Diego. The Sox may be romanced by his last four starts in Pawtucket where he struck out 1 per inning. The Tigers and Marlins had their own glimpse of his minor league success as well, but when promoted to the big leagues, Miller failed in each of the last five seasons. He is 15-26 and the best he could do was a 4.84 ERA, and for his career he is well over 5. The Padres have had a lot of success as a big road dog, turning in the profit in seven of their last 10 as a dog from +151 to +200, and have taken four of their last five road interleague games vs. a winning team. San Diego gets the call.
