San Diego at Atlanta

San Diego had won three straight before blowing a 5-1 lead and having Manny Machado getting thrown out of the game in the first inning and losing 8-6 to Arizona on Tuesday. Atlanta is fresh off a three-game sweep at St. Louis and will be playing its home opener and facing Blake Snell, who gave up three runs in 4 1/3 innings on Thursday while striking out nine. Snell had a great second half in 2022 with a 2.19 ERA his last 14 starts and he's hoping to carry that over into this season. The Padres were off on Wednesday and they are 18-6 following an off day and they have won four of their past five meetings at Atlanta. San Diego is getting a decent price as the road underdog and play the Padres.
