The San Diego Padres have won nine games in a row, but every one of the nine were at home. They have been a completely different team on the road. How different? The Padres are 1-15 in their last 16 road games, and own the worst record in major league baseball away from home. The 16 road game slide has seen them outscored by a whopping 96-47 margin or by more than three runs per game. The Diamondbacks’ offense has not hit its stride but has been at their best this season when facing right-hand pitching, where they are producing a more than respectable 4.7 runs per game. The Padres are also sitting at a MLB low of 3.2 runs per game when facing a lefthander, and producing 2.2 runs a game less on the road than they are at home. The Padres are also just 20-58 in their last 78 road games, so I'm going with the Diamondbacks in this one.
