Edwin Jackson is becoming a well-travelled pitcher. He has great stuff, but his command always gets him on trouble. His last eight starts a year ago resulted in the opponents scoring 46 runs, or almost 6 per contest while he allowed 5+ earned runs in four of his last five starts. Chris Young struggles at times with command also, and I expect the D-Backs to score some here. But with all things being equal, the Padres have a better lineup, closing last year 11-2 in their last 13 as a dog of +110 to +150. The Diamondbacks are very revealing with a total set at 9-10.5 where they were 16-35 as they were consistently out hit in expected high-scoring games, and 12 of the last 17 in this series have topped the total. I'll go with San Diego on the runline and the OVER in this one.
