Pittsburgh got off to a great start this season, but those days are over and the Pirates have now lost eight in a row while scoring a total of only 18 runs in that span. Meanwhile, Texas has exploded for 19 runs their last two games after blowing out Seattle on the road over the weekend. Jordan Lyles gave up five runs on eight hits in five innings in Pittsburgh's 11-2 loss against Arizona on Wednesday and he was 0-2 with a 5.23 ERA on the road last year. Adrian Sampson had one bad outing against Oakland, but otherwise has been decent starting and relieving this season. The Rangers have won six of their last seven home games and 11 of their last 16 interleague home games versus righty starters.
