Pittsburgh at St. Louis

St. Louis salvaged the final game of a three-game series at Detroit by scoring five runs in the seventh inning on Sunday to remain tied for the second Wild Card spot. Adam Wainwright will make his first appearance tonight since coming off the disabled list, and the Cardinals have won six of the last eight meetings with Pittsburgh. The Pirates were rained out on Sunday and have won five straight, although they were against last-place Miami and Cincinnati. St. Louis has won 21 of its last 30 overall, and the Pirates have lost nine of their last 12 road contests. Pittsburgh has been a streaky team all season and is all but out of the playoff picture. They have a hot pitcher going in Trevor Williams, but the Pirates are only 6-13 in Williams' last 19 starts versus teams with winning records. St. Louis has won 16 of its last 23 against right-handed starters. Take the Cardinals.
