Pittsburgh at St. Louis

Pittsburgh has five consecutive wins as the Pirates appear to have gotten a second wind after starting strong this year and going through a rough stretch in midseason. St. Louis has lost seven of 10 and the Cardinals are mired in last place and they are only 30-40 at home. The Pirates are 37-31 on the runline in road games and Johan Oviedo will be on the mound and he owns a 1.28 WHIP after pitching a gem on Monday when he allowed only two hits in a 5-0 complete-game victory for Pittsburgh. Zack Thompson gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits in four innings against San Diego on Monday and the Cardinal bullpen is #25 in the majors with only 28 saves.
