I think that most would consider the fact that St. Louis would be struggling into early May without Albert Pujols in the lineup, and Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright with a combined one win. The fact is their pitching is ranked No. 2 in all of baseball. The Pirates have not bolstered their lineup, but the pitching is really good, ranking No. 8 in MLB entering early May. Eric Bedard is a big reason, and despite a 1-4 record he has pitched to a 2.48 ERA, but the Pirates’ bats aren't good enough to get him wins. The Pirates are now 46-21-8 to the UNDER when facing a pitcher with a WHIP of 1.15 or less, and 8-0 to the UNDER as a road dog of +110 to +150. The Cards are now 4-1 to the UNDER in Westbrook's last five starts vs. the Pirates. Play on the UNDER.
